This is a new one!
You would hardly find a collection in the history of Dior, for which immortal black became so crucial. In addition to one model in white, several metallic gowns and a quaint doll house model, there's nothing else but black in the haute couture AW 2019/2020!
Choose and compare different opinions:
Time for a change: Is clothing modern?
Maria Grazia Chiuri, the creative director of Dior, calls for a lot of thought with her collection. She opened the show with a white model with the message: “Are clothes modern?” based on the essay by writer Bernard Rudofsky. He considered too many conventions unnecessary and even harmful. What does it mean? The time has come to redefine the haute couture world!
Black classic with a drop of luxury
The new collection of luxury lace, netting, brocade or shiny silk has its irreplaceable position. It is precisely these materials that Maria Grazia Chiuri opted for.
Haute couture AW 2019/2020 is dominated by minimalism and simplicity, yet the creative director has remained faithful to some of the distinctive features of the Dior fashion house, especially the silhouettes.
The conclusion belonged to art and Penny Slinger
The final golden model in the form of a doll house became the icing on the cake. Its author is Penny Slinger, whose work is connected with surrealism, architecture and feminism. We call it a grandiose finale!
It's not a great secret that black color never goes out of fashion. Moreover, it is my favorite color. Maybe that's why I'm absolutely impressed with the new haute couture collection by Christian Dior. Classic facial nets, berets and low sandals so stylish that can be taken out in the evening. In short, the dream of all girls and women who measure 180+ cm…
My absolute favorite is a model with a long black coat with "cut out" sleeves, which hides the refined lace dress ending at the ankles below. And the beret with the net!!! I hope that this classic trend really goes back to the streets. In this model you can go on a date in the style of a "mysterious femme fatale" and a very elegant cocktail party in the city...
And the icing on the cake? Evening robe, which gradually fades from powdery powder over metallic gold into dark black… Probably what the modern concept of dress at Opera Ball should look like! Wonderful!
