Luxury fashion show full of fire, drama and gorgeous dresses
It took place shortly after sunset on Monday, April 29, in the ruins of El Badi Palace, where ancient dynasties and rulers of the country used to dwell. Models were walking along the water tank dotted with dozens of candles. The show was attended by 800 visitors, famous celebrities such as Jessica Alba and Diana Ross among them, as can be expected of Dior.
Celebrating globalization and mixing of cultures
The creative director of Dior collaborated on the luxurious collection full of exotic prints with several African designers, making it a perfect mix of African traditional culture and modern European style. This collection is a celebration of globalization. If you are looking for ethnic elements and exoticism in fashion, the Dior Cruise 2020 is just the thing for you!
Over 100 models were presented at the show, featuring luxurious long summer dresses with colorful prints, black evening robes, romantic white lace dresses, printed shirts and wide pants.
The collection prides itself in unique materials that serve to underline the flawless tailoring craft.
The most prominent material used in creating the collection comes from the Uniwax factory in Côte d'Ivoire, one of the last places in the world to produce handmade fabrics. Their history was originally influenced by the Indonesian batik, which had been brought to Europe by Dutch merchants and eventually adopted by the countries of West Africa in the 19th century.
Let yourself be carried away by the beauty of exotic models and trust that the clothes of this collection will forever be a unique jewel in your closet.
