The opening and closing night of the film festival is among the MOST IMPORTANT moments. It has plenty to offer to movie fans and fashion fans alike. How did it turn out this year? I'll tell you this - I don't intend to go easy on anybody!
Elsa Hosk, the magical fairy
Top model Elsa Hosk completely blew me away with her gown by Alberta Ferretti. Luxurious peacock feathers in a delicate lilac shade, a cascading skirt, everything surprisingly well matched with classical red. This unusual color combination may have been risky, but this time it really worked out!

Milla Jovovich's disco trisco
Milla has always been my favorite actress. She's looked beautiful for the past 20 years, you'd barely ever guess her to be 43 years old. However, at the closing night she did something unprecedented. She overshadowed her Balmain gown. Her elvish hairdo, subtle make-up and innocent look completely trumped the glitter explosion of the disco thing (kind of boring) that she wore. That's what I call hitting it out of the park!

Patricia Gloria: Mexican embarrassment of the night
Patricia Gloria, a model and part-time actress of Mexican origin, played the main role in a huge faux pas! At the closing night she showed up in a gown that totally copies a model by Armani Privé. Do you remember the AmfAR Gala event? The Portuguese actress Sara Sampaio wore an identical dress there, with black ostrich feathers. Not only did she look better in it, but the humiliation of wearing a copy, and by different designers (Nicole + Felicia) on top of that, is simply a social suicide!

The angelic beauty of Elle Fanning
The dreamiest dress at the entire event was most likely worn by the ethereal actress Elle Fanning. Hand-embroidered details, spider-silk-like fabric... you can't find anything wrong here. You can only admire Reem Acra's work in awe! Indescribable beauty. It's as if somebody'd pulled this gown out of a fresco done by Michelangelo himself.

Paz Vega: A mistake from the 80's
And the most boring outfit? The Spanish actress Paz Vega appeared at the closing night in some kinda copy of authentic evening attire from the 80's. The massive organza ruffle was peak bad taste from designer Rami Kadi for me. Next time he should maybe clean those glasses of his instead of letting somebody turn up at a formal event dressed like this!
